Four things that motivate for going to the gym

Tips for motivation at the gym

There
is often the feeling of "not bothering" / "not want to" comes creeping when his buddy suggest taking a trip down the gym to pump some iron. Bodybuilding is for very many people not so incredibly fun and motivating, making the need to bring in other factors to be able to motivate themselves.

Here are my four things that motivate me - and you can try out some of them to see if it helps you:

1 See gym videos on Youtube.

Arnold Schwarzenegger and other "bulked" men often provide training videos online hoping to generate clicks.

If I see successful people with good results it might provide some sort of motivation. I always think that "I will be as good as them" - and packs my training bag and runs down to the gym.
Example of a good bodybuilding video:

2 Buying new training kit.

Since I often use the same training clothes over and over and over and over again it is motivating with some new clothes. Check out some of the online sports brands running campaigns and buy yourself a new shirt or two.

3 Read about the health benefits of exercise online.

After reading a long and excellent article on why one should engage in strength training I feel very bad if I do not take a walk to the gym. To sit and read page after page on the internet is not training in itself, but it keeps motivating me to do what the article(s) say(s).

There is a lot good information about the health benefits online, but you should be aware that it is a lot of bad information as well.

4 Buying protein powder / supplements.

If I got a new dunk protein powder in the mail, I am no stranger to pack my bag and throw me on the bike. Whether protein powder has a very large effect or not for a young man like me (am 23 years) I wouldn´t know, but that it is "motivation in box" am I pretty certain of.

Stomach trouble from protein powder? Read this

Stomach trouble from protein powder

There
are some people who get stomach trouble by use of protein powder. "Shittypants" and other pains in the abdominal region is unfortunately not unknown troubles for those who have used supplements in large quantities over long periods.

What is the reason for the stomach pain?

The reason is quite simple: your body is not able to take up pure protein and use it for good purposes - therefore encounter the protein away from him and put it together with your stool.

How can you solve the problem?

I have had great success with changing protein powder to a powder with less protein percentage. To make use of supplements can be compared to learning to ski - you hardly participate in the World Championships in Holmenkollen first day.

The more your body is used to the use of protein powder, the higher protein percentage will be possible to use.

What should I do with the old powder?

There is no need to throw it away. Either you can dispense less than you do now, or you can mix the powder with something like chocolate powder.

Protein bars - buy them online

Protein bars - buy them (cheap!) online

I myself have always been a fan of protein-rich drinks, chocolates and other food in relation to training. And the reason for that is that I'm a 23 year old guy who simply have realized that it helps something so amazing at building muscle.

Ever since I started weightlifting, I have tried periods with and without protein bars. And I learned two things from these periods:

1. That one increases weight smoother and better with protein bars than you do without them.

2. That it is cheaper to buy online than in the store.

I have saved a lot of money over the years buying various fitness products online. The reason that I'm saving a lot is usually because I go for the cheapest products - and just when it comes to protein bars (not protein powder), then most of the products are alike and equal in protein mass.

I also buy about 20 protein bars when I first buy them online so I have protein bars for about a month at the time.

The best online shop for protein bars

I have tried several online shops for buying creatine, protein powder and protein bars. And I have to admit that not every one of them deliver fast and have good prices. Well, Muscle & Strength is the best I´ve tried so far.

My four week project: Cardio training to get in good shape

Cardio training is extremly important to avoid getting counteract diseases. Medical studies show that poor persistence is linked to so many lifestyle diseases that I absolutely would recommend cardio exercise almost every time you're at the gym.
This is my story about how long I went from having miserable condition to get in great shape - in only four weeks.

Week 1: Lousy form.
My doctor visit was essentially as expected. He told me that I had trained strength too much and that I needed to start running. "You can look like s*** inside your body even though you have large and visible muscles on the outside", quote my Danish doctor.
He begged me that I had to start cardio training and stop bulking immediately.

Progression: 0%.

Week 2: Start.
After four training sessions, where I jogged at all (both before and after the heavy lifting), I began to notice that I had better fitness and was in better shape than before. I was definitely on the right path and could feel it.
Progression: 10-15%

Week 3: Decrease in body fat and muscle recovery.
Now the results began to really notice that I started with cardio training. In addition to the fat percentage went down and muscles (especially abdominal muscles) was more visible - it was much harder to get larger muscles than before.
I started on a little heavier gainer to compensate for muscle loss. I was refusing to go down considerably in weight just because my doctor had said that I had to take a run sometimes.

But I absolutely saw some progression on my body, which really motivated me to continue the cardio training.
Progression: 40%

Week 4: Normalization.
Finally, I felt that I started to normalize my routine. Decided that I get every second time at the gym would run at the threadmill- not every single time. With a steady progression I realized that I got closer and closer to the  "Cristiano Ronaldo" body, which has been the goal all along.
That said, I am still training to increase in weight. But I agree with the doctor's advice that not focusing on cardio is the stupidest thing you can do if you want a great body.

Progression: 70-80% - still have some things to do, but I feel that I will look great to the summer season (2-3 months left). I have also learned that cardio training among with heavy weight lifting are the best ways to get a good body - and I will recommend all to mix those two training forms.
Conclusion

In the conclusion I would like to highlight a few things:
- Your body does not necessarily good inside even if it does on the outside.- It takes about three weeks to get a normal / good condition if you train it 1-2 times a week. (6 times of intense running is enough)- You lose some muscle to train cardio. Eat twice as much - or buy yourself a good gainer.

Test of protein powder - is the best protein online

Test of protein powder

I am a strong guy when it comes to training. Actually, I'm the guy who usually come earlier and stand again late in the fitness room - all to get bigger muscles than those around me and sweat towards the same goal: to be as large as possible. In addition to a fitness zeal that goes over David Beckham, so I also use diet as a means of achieving my goals.

Protein Powder is a part of my daily diet, and I took a longtime test to see which protein powder that was the best. Or at least; that worked best for me.

How did I do the test of protein powder?

Well, there's really only one way to do it. Buy in lots of different protein powders and try them one month each. Not only will you test the taste, but also the progress and how much protein is actually present in the protein powder. I had a pretty steady diet period I tried the different proteinpulverne so this would play into the effect I got from the various products. Believe me - I'd planned everything down to the smallest detail in the big test.

Overview of products I tested:

Optimum Nutrition pro complex protein powder

Optimum Nutrition Pro Complex - 2.3lbs Banana Cream Optimum Nutrition Pro Complex - 2.3lbs Banana Cream
Pro Complex is a powerful new protein formula that blends 8 different protein sources to provide over 60g of protein and an amino acid profile that is literally off the charts!

Rating:

The very first protein powder I tested, but I have to say that I have also tried it before. I've read on several other sites that in many ways to be a leader in the industry when it came to results and I was not disappointed. Maybe I got an extra workout boost desire and in that this was the first I ever tried, but it could also be other reasons why it went so well as it did.

Result: Up 1.8 kg

Food whey protein

NOW Foods Whey Protein - 2lbs Natural Dutch Chocolate NOW Foods Whey Protein - 2lbs Natural Dutch Chocolate
NOW Whey Protein is a delicious blend of three of the highest quality whey protein concentrates, isolates and hydrolysates: Ultrafiltered, Cross-Flow Microfiltered and Enzymatically Hydrolyzed (partially predigested).

Rating:

The test's second best result actually came after two months. Here I bought myself a protein powder with good taste (as the previous just didn´t taste very good) and chose to mix it with milk. It was just like chocolate milk. It should be noted that in this period struggled a bit with stomach problems and I have an idea that came about because of protein powder

Result: Up 1.5 kg

Pure whey strawberry chocolate
MGN Pure Whey Protein Isolate - 2lbs Strawberry Banana MGN Pure Whey Protein Isolate - 2lbs Strawberry Banana
Muscle Gauge Pure Whey Protein Isolate is the perfect nutritional component to complement your muscle growth, fat loss or fitness program.

Rating:

The test definite loser was unfortunately after three months. Here I actually wonder if I've used the powder errors, I got confirmation from the manufacturer (via mail exchange) that I had not. That is, protein powder was only unsatisfactory sufficient. Or did it just for me. Anyway, it had no effect while the flavor was not more than "okay".

Result: Up 0.1 kg

Dymatize Elite Whey protein powder
Dymatize Elite Whey - 5lbs Smooth Banana Dymatize Elite Whey - 5lbs Smooth Banana
The Elite Whey Protein Isolate is the perfect blend of whey protein concentrates, ion-exchange whey protein isolates, and whey peptides at an incredible value.

This is probably the protein powder that tastes the best and had a very steady progression. I do not know if I have so much to say about this protein powder other than that I would recommend it for beginners as it is easy to ingest, cheap and has a great taste. If you invest as a beginner at one of the protein powders, so I will probably recommend this. On the other hand, it is probably not wrong to go for number 1 when it after all this I got the best results.

Protein powder = Kidney trouble?

Protein powder for your kidney is OK
Protein powder - does it give you kidney trouble?

I just want to ask a question; does protein powder give you kidney trouble?

I read that in a newspaper and walked to the gym to talk to someone who clearly had something to say to me about that thing. And I was just wondering if there is any truth. Belive me; I am 22 years old, healthy as f***, but also worried that the protein powder would destroy my stomach.

UAC has not alleged that the specialist you're talking about not what he does, just that he is not entitled to a possible claim that a high protein intake is harmful to the liver and / or kidneys.
I know there are a lot of strange perceptions of the area (cf. nutrition debate, Atkins, Lindberg, etc.), but the fact is that the study, that the scientific basis of the area indicate that a high protein intake is not harmful to a healthy liver and healthy kidneys, just for a diseased liver or kidney disease.
There are also many studies in this area! On this basis draws both UAC and I and several in the conclusion that a high protein intake is probably not harmful. What kind of conclusion the specialist you're talking about pulling (if he has updated in this narrow area after all then, something I see as a sure thing that he has done) - is his case!
A precision to this with kidney: If you have a pronounced hepatic failure (usually due to many years of alcohol abuse), you risk incurring what we in technical terms called "hepatic coma", and DA is one of the treatment strategies to reduce protein intake, because the liver is not manages to take care of the reaction of amino acids in the usual manner, so that the level of ammonia in the blood rises dramatically, which can affect the brain and cause brain. But a healthy liver (which has a large reserve capacity): No worries!

Two reasons why you should not be worried for your kidney
A precision to this with KIDNEYS: Creatinine (a trading product of creatine phosphate from muscle) is not harmful in itself, and an increased creatinine levels in the blood may be due to two things:

1) Large muscle mass. More creatine enters the blood than usual because of the large muscle mass, and the concentration of creatinine in the blood (but no harmful substances that is!) Increases slightly. Totally normal and not dangerous.

2) Renal failure. Creatinine is as a marker of kidney function, and rises (along with increases in the second and harmful substances in the blood) with reduced renal function. Causes of renal failure may be diabetes, infectious disease, autoimmune disease (the body's own immune system attacks the kidney cells), poisons etc.
Do you see the difference here?
But anyway: It's not just the specialists who have "allowed" to draw conclusions on the basis of evidence available, and we all have access to such documentation, and can draw our own conclusions!

Bodybuilding and food

It is usually not to bodybuild the right that is the problem, according to many who are struggling to gain weight while working out. But it is to push in the food that they, at a normal life, do not need. And then you have to have supplements to achieve this - with an emphasis on protein powder.

For there are so many more struggling to get enough food and nutrition when they exercise. Not so surprising, since this is a trend that has lasted since the dawn of time. When most people start exercising, they think only for them to lift heavy - and not for them to get enough protein powder. Not very beneficial.

So if you somehow will manage to get in you have enough food, so I think that you need to set up a diet program that you carefully follow. Writing down the number of calories, protein intake and the like may not be necessary in many ways, but take at least it enough to eat as a good motivator to start exercising.

Remember that I struggled to eat enough and get enough protein in my powder at the start. But it was actually the most that I did not know that one should not increase food intake so dramatically that you actually need to put on weight. Buy yourself a protein powder and start to work out!
